A long overdue "hello" to everyone. First I want to thank all of you who have left comments and also such wonderful emails. You are all a blessing to me and I am very thankful for each one of you.
I'm gradually getting my strength back, but it's returning at a very slow pace. I'm not able to do too much in the way of creating as I am having to take pain medicine as it is prescribed...which I usually don't do because it makes me groggy and unable to concentrate. Sometimes I just feel so sad, lonely and useless. It's really hard not to give up, even though I have a lot to live for. My niece is due in September and I'll have another little one to spoil along with my other great-neices and great-nephews...I have friends and family who care and some who even love me...and I still have my wits about me most days. Still, I seem to be struggling just to find the strength to keep pushing on. Most days, I feel like I'm crawling uphill on a mountain of sand. It seems a vicious cycle: when my pain stays bad, the depression worsens and when my depression is bad, my pain worsens. I go to the doctor tomorrow and I'm going to ask to have my depression medicine changed. I've been on Celexa for about six or seven years and I think either I've become used to it, or some of the newer medicines I'm on makes it less efficacious.
I'm sorry that I'm on such a downer right now and don't have freebies for you. I really am trying to get back in the swing of things. I really NEED to for my own self-worth. It pleases me greatly to design for all of you. In the meantime, please keep me in your prayers and send me good thoughts. Even if I don't respond to each one of you personally, know that your kind words uplift me and fill me with warmth...even if just for a while.
Love to all of you,
Sally

Just a note...
Hi everyone. Thanks for your emails and comments. I'm sorry to worry any of you with my absence. Gals, the truth is that I'm really struggling to get from one day to the next and I feel guilty if I post here when I don't have a freebie for you. My health issues are really getting me down. If I take enough pain meds so that I'm not in excruciating pain, I find that my creativity really suffers. It's hard to concentrate. Each day my depression seems to get a stronger hold on me but I am really trying to keep my head above water. Please, keep me in your prayers and I hope to be back soon with a little something for you all.
Blessings,
Sally

I've been tagged again & again!!!
WELL!!! Not one, nor two, not even three...but FOUR people have tagged me. It's taken a while for me to respond, but here goes. Here's how it goes:
1. Link your tagger and list these rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
Both Dawn and Lynn from the Flight Crew tagged me first (SHAME on you girls!!!). LOL Then I was tagged in a comment by Kori. Naughty girl! THEN, as if three times wasn't enough, I was tagged by Catt from Cattscrapps. Bad Catt! Now, it's serious Gals! ROFLMBO
Here's my seven weird and random facts:
1. My favorite sandwich is peanut butter and tomatoes on white toast.
2. I used to play the violin.
3. I try NEVER to enter a room first when I'm entering with other people.
4. I hate the heat and enjoy being cold.
5. I am the clumsiest and most uncoordinated person you could imagine!
6. The fastest I've ever typed on a test is 132 words per minute!
7. I know exactly where I was conceived!
I guess I should explain the last one! My mother and father were only intimate one time when she became pregnant...and it was under the roller coaster at a local amusement park, Meyers Lake (which is no longer there). I blamed her always for the many ups and downs in my life!!! HA HA HA!
Now I'm supposed to tag seven people, but it seems this has really made the rounds. I'm going to tag Patti and then hunt for six other people who haven't been tagged yet. I'll add them as I find them! LOL
Sooooo, Patti...you're it!!!!
Thanks ladies...I still love 'ya all!! MWAH!

Layout Share & a Quick Page
Good Wednesday to all of you! Hope everything is okay in your corner of the world. I also hope none of you are affected by the flooding in the central plains but if you are, know that I'm praying for you and yours; and I ask all of you to keep everyone affected in your prayers and thoughts, also.
I have received a beautiful layout from Sharon, aka Scrapcat, using my Victorian Mother's Day Kit. Here it is:

Thanks so much, Sharon, it's a terrific layout and your Mom has such a wonderful smile! For sending me her layout, she'll receive the Victorian Father's Day Mini Kit! To receive your Father's Day kit, just send me your layout using the Mother's Day kit to wingedheartohio@gmail.com!
Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments at 4Shared. It's always very satisfying to read them and gives me a thrill every time! Also, a HUGE "thank you" to all of you who have signed my new guest book. I love seeing where everyone is from and hope some of you will leave pictures of yourself!
The Flight Crew is busy, busy, busy! Lynn left such a pretty layout in the guest book! Check it out. Lynn, would you please send me the layout via email? I'll post it so we can see it larger? Seems my eyesight is going to the dogs! Also, Patti made a freebie quick page just for you! Here it is:

You can snag it here. Thanks bunches, Patti. It's a beaut! Please leave her a hug if you download...pretty please?!?!?
Besides the Father's Day Kit, I'm working on a running/track & field kit and a summer kit. Lynn, from the Flight Crew, just returned from vacation and had an experience with SHARKS! Woo Hoo! I've never made a kit using my original art, but I'm going to make the summer kit "doodly" and draw some fish and sharks, etc. We shall see how it turns out. I might even include a mermaid, one of my faves! I'm always open to kit suggestions so let me know what you are interested in and I'll do my best to oblige.
Patti and I are going to an all-day crop this weekend. Hooray! As much as I love digital scrapping, I really do enjoy paper scrapping. We've never been to scraps held by this person but it's a real steal of a deal. She's having prizes, etc. and is supplying the food for the whole day...and is only charging $10.00 a person. I can't wait! Now all I have to do is get ready for it. Hopefully I won't fall the night before like I did when I went to the last crop! Keep your fingers crossed, will 'ya huh?
Stay safe and keep checking back for more quick pages and more freebies! Love and appreciate all of you bunches!
Blessings, as always,
Sally

Want a Victorian Father's Day Mini Kit?
Hey there, everyone. Boy it was hard to find Victorian images picturing men and children! I found enough to make a mini kit honoring Father's Day. Would you like to have it? To receive the kit (preview will follow soon), just send me a layout using my Victorian Mother's Day Kit and the Victorian Father's Day Kit will be yours! Send either the page or a link to download the page to wingedheartohio@gmail.com. Make sure you include your name (or scrapping handle). I'll feature a few of them on my blog and ALL of them will be included in a special slideshow in the sidebar of my blog! I sure hope to see yours!! Of course, the layout doesn't have to be a Mother's Day layout, just one using the kit.
I will email you the Father's Day Kit download link to the email address used to send your page to me. Hope to see your creation!
All the best,
Sally

At Last!! Mother's Day Is Finished
Hi everyone. I hope you're all having a wonderful weekend. I am SO very happy to be finished with the Mother's Day Kit, have it uploaded, and ready for all of you. I swear, the last few weeks have terribly difficult! I feel like I have truly struggled with creating this kit, but I am pleased with the results. I hope you are also.
I had decided to try releasing the kit portions at a time but that proved to not be a viable option for me. I never know when I'm up to posting or creating, so it is just not going to work. Please disregard the previous downloads and download the whole kit using the links in this post. Sorry if this causes any confusion. Please forgive the temporary insanity!! LOL
Here are the previews:

You may download the kit here.
Don't forget to download Dawn's QP in the previous post. While I used quite a few designer resources in the creation of this kit, I especially want to thank Royanna Fritschmann for her wonderful commercial use items. She's so very talented. Make sure you check out her blog.
Many blessings to you and yours. Please keep me in your prayers!

More Flight Crew Layouts
Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well! Here are some more layouts the Flight Crew made using my Victorian Mother's Day kit, which I have been giving you as Freebies for stopping by my blog.
First we have another by Patti. This is the same little girl that is pictured in the first layout she made, but a few months older. Isn't it just so precious? Our friend Amy sent her the photos and gave Patti her permission to use them. Amy had named the photo "My Little Diva" so that is what Patti titled the LO. Thank you Patti for sharing your layout. Here it is:

Next we have two layouts by Lynn. She is one of my new CT members, and these are her first layouts for me. I couldn't be happier with them! Thanks bunches, Lynn! Here they are:

And, for your scrapping pleasure, here is beautiful quick page made by my other new CT member, Dawn. Just love it!!! Big thanks and kudos to you, Dawn! Here's the preview and you can download it here.

Well have a wonderful evening and thank you for visiting here with me today. Check back later this evening or tomorrow for the rest of the Victorian Mother's Day kit. I HATE this piecemeal stuff so you're getting everything left at one time!!! Gee, hope you don't mind! LOL
Blessings,
Sally

More Victorian Mother's Day
Good evening all. Wow did I have a scare today! As always, Patti takes me to the bank and out to do some running around on payday (my Social Security check comes on the 3rd). To thank her, I always treat us to lunch and/or dinner depending on how long we are out. Well, the day went like this:
First we went to the credit union, which went perfectly fine. We went through the drive-up window and it made me feel so good that the clerk recognized me and didn't even ask my name or account number, even though I'm in the passenger's seat and leaning across the car so she can see me! It is a wonderful feeling to have a place of business remember who you are in this day and age of such apathy and rudeness. All the tellers are so sweet and kind, calling you by name and always with a smile. It's a great place to do my banking. Feeling on a high, we went to lunch at Sukho, the Thai restaurant I talked about on my birthday. Well, here starts the problem...it's not open until 4 PM on Monday and Tuesday and we were there at about 11 o'clock. Now, I KNEW this but, obviously, forgot. SHAME on me!! We talked about what we should do and since there is a Chinese buffet next door, we went there. Oh my, was that a mistake. We were seated and picked out our food, most of which looked okay and there was a huge selection. I took my pills, we said grace, and then started to eat. Bite after bite, it tasted worse and worse. The restaurant was full and no one else seemed to have issues but neither one of us liked the food at all. On top of not tasting good, it was cold! Soooooo we decided to leave and figured after we did a bit of shopping, we'd go to one of our favorite hangouts for fried green tomatoes and fresh Strawberry Shortcake.
We then went to a card and party shop and I was only able to walk around a very short time, which was okay because neither one of us found a thing we wanted to buy. After that we went to the Dollar Tree. As before, I only could walk around a few aisles so I took Pat's keys to go to the car while she finished shopping and checked out our stuff. (What would I ever do without this woman?!?) I was feeling shaky, sweaty, flushed and VERY weak. By the time I got out of the store and to the car, I knew something was seriously wrong. For the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to unlock the car. I was so very confused! Thank God there are still nice people in this world because a young woman came and asked me if I was okay. I told her, "no" and she took the keys from me and opened the door and helped me get in. As this was was far beyond my normal reaction to walking and standing, I did figure out that I should check my blood sugar. It was quite a shock to find out it was 41!!!! For those of you who don't know, that is truly dangerously low. This wonderful person took out a peanut butter cup and a bag of Werther's caramels from her bag and had me chomp away. She and the group she was with were all nursing students...how ironic! She stayed with me until they had to go and I convinced her I was going to be okay. Pat has been a diabetic for over fifty years and I knew I would be in good hands when she came out. And I was right. She went to Wendy's next door and purchased a regular soda for me. As I drank it and all the sugar kicked in, I started to feel a bit better but definitely needed to eat. We proceded to the restaurant and had wonderful fried green tomatoes and strawberry shortcake.
This incident taught me an important lesson...make sure you like the food well enough to eat it BEFORE you take your diabetes medication!!! As always happens when your blood sugar bottoms out and you have to raise it fast with sugar, I was totally exhausted. Patti got me home, helped me upstairs and made me promise not to go to bed until I knew that my sugar didn't rebound too high, which can sometimes be a problem. When I knew I was going to be okay, I went to bed until I woke up with all of you on my mind and decided to get up and give you the next links for my Mother's Day kit.
For being so patient and reading my LONG story above, I'm rewarding you with TWO downloads today! Mwah! So, without further ado, here you go:
The first download contains framed elements featuring vintage images of mothers and children, and even a grandmother! Here's the preview:

The second download is full of wonderful butterflies. Here's the preview:

CT Announcement & Update
Hi everyone. First, let me say a huge "THANK YOU" to all of you who sent me e-cards, emails and left comments. I really appreciate all of you taking the time to let me know you care! Mwah! I'm doing better...not wonderful but better!
I'm finishing up the Mother's Day kit and am going to release it even if it is rather late. I guess it's better late than never. It's definitely not as large as the rest of my kits, nor as large as I wanted it to be, but I think it will be useful anyway. Check back tomorrow, it should be finished and posted.
Now, on to the announcement! Joining Patti on my Creative Team, please welcome LYNN and DAWN! I am so excited that both of them have accepted positions on the Flight Crew! I just know that there are wonderful things to come!! And...drum roll...here they are:
LYNN
Please welcome Lynn! Here is her introduction:
Check out her blog here, and here is her layout using my Suffrage Kit:

DAWN
Please welcome Dawn! Here is her introduction:
Check out her blog here, and here is her layout using my Eileen B. kit:

I also asked Patti to create an introduction layout since many of you weren't around when she was officially introduced. So, here she is:
PATTI
Patti's been with me from the beginning and, not only is she a great source of inspiration, my biggest cheerleader, and the best of friends, she is the kindest and sweetest person you could ever hope to meet! Here is her introduction:
Check out her blog here, and here is her layout using my Eileen B. Kit:

There you go! Thanks to everyone who applied and, who knows, I may be adding additional members in the future. Until that time, I am so happy to have Patti, Dawn, and Lynn on my FLIGHT CREW!!!
Blessings to all of you,
Sally

LYNN
Please welcome Lynn! Here is her introduction:
"I am a stay-at-home mom/wife/stepmom. I homeschool my two sons. I have a bachelor's degree in Education, with a specialization in Reading and a minor in Fine Art. I have several different creative outlets, including writing, soaping, doll-making, gardening, and scrapping (of course!). I have been digi-scrapping for almost a year now. I would describe my style as eclectic. I love all things vintage & grungy. Yet, I'm drawn to other styles as well. I like the challenge of using a style that might, at first, seem outside of my comfort zone."
Check out her blog here, and here is her layout using my Suffrage Kit:

DAWN
Please welcome Dawn! Here is her introduction:
"Hi, I'm Dawn! I live in a suburb of Toledo, Ohio, and just turned 30 on May 7th. Other than digi scrapping, I co-run a gaming league on pogo.com. When I am not on the computer, I am at church. I am extremely involved at my home church doing all the media-related stuff. I volunteer at the church office twice a week, helping out wherever needed. One thing that perhaps makes me unique in regard to digital scrapbooking is that I am legally blind. Because of that, I am on disability and unable to work (that goes along with a wide gamut of other health problems). I feel that being visually impaired should not necessarily have to limit what I am able to do. Sure, it may take a little longer than usual to complete a layout, but I feel that the end result is comparable to other layouts that are out there. Now granted - I am rather new to the world of scrapbooking digitally, but I think I am getting the hang of it. I learn very fast, and love a challenge. I am so thrilled that Sally has decided to take a chance on this newbie, and I hope to get to know all of you better in the months to come!!!"

Patti's been with me from the beginning and, not only is she a great source of inspiration, my biggest cheerleader, and the best of friends, she is the kindest and sweetest person you could ever hope to meet! Here is her introduction:
Hello, my name is Patti and I live in N.E. Ohio. I am a stay at home wife, between us we have five children that are now adults and six grandchildren, five girls and one boy. I am a sinner saved by grace and am living by His grace every moment of my life. My purpose in life is to glorify God in all that I do. Half of my working years I worked as a professional Floral Designer and when I retired I ask God to give me another creative passion where I could express my love of designing and two years later I was passionately designing paper and digital scrapbook layouts. After I met Sally, I got her hooked on paper scrapping and she later discovered the digital scrapbook community and got me hooked on digital scrapping. My life evolves around God, family then Scrapbooking! Well thats my life and I am sticking to it!
Hugs
Check out her blog here, and here is her layout using my Eileen B. Kit:

There you go! Thanks to everyone who applied and, who knows, I may be adding additional members in the future. Until that time, I am so happy to have Patti, Dawn, and Lynn on my FLIGHT CREW!!!
Blessings to all of you,
Sally
